excess in Italy

Much food - chianti, camignano, vernacci - lots of gelato - wild boar sausages - pici with wild boar - croissants and assorted pastries - wood fired crisp pizzas with prosciutto - espresso - mmm

Yesterday, we went a driving and decided that we'd check out Volterra - turned out to be lovely hill town overlooking a huge valley. We basically bumped around checked out the shops, purchased some more olive wood things and an alabaster plate for our dining area. We spent a good deal of the afternoon there and just relaxed. It was lovely.

Anyhoo, right now we're in tuscany, florence, again... saw the boboli gardens this morning, and this afternoon we get to finish our shopping. So far, we both splurged on some cool leather jackets. Yay!

Tomorrow we drive to cinqueterre and then Rome on Monday. So far, its been kinda hot and sweaty with the weather being in the upper 80's - hoping it will cool down on the coast this weekend.

Anyways, still doing great. Honeymooning is faboo... but we both are pretty sure that we will be really happy to come home and just be there in our lovely place with air conditioning and two full baths. Yess... and a cheeseburger or two.
